Plain Talk Referral Rewards
One of the goals of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) is to educate industry professionals about the electric power system. To that end, PES produces a series of events called Plain Talk, which provides basic power industry education courses for people who work in the industry but do not have technical backgrounds. Engineers new to the industry or transitioning to a different area in power also find the courses beneficial.
Most of our Plain Talk registrants come via referral, and so we’d like to encourage you to recommend these courses to your co-workers and colleagues.
As a token of our gratitude, IEEE PES will send you a $25 Amazon gift card for each person who you refer to us, that results in a paid registration.
Be sure that each person you refer enters 2014-fall-refer in the PromoCode box on the registration page and enters your full name in the box marked “Referred By.” By entering the code the person will receive a 5% discount on their registration.
Here are the registration dates and locations for the remaining 2014 events:
- October 7-9, 2014 - Dallas, TX Metro Area - Plain Talk Basics Early Bird Registration Ends September 9!
- November 4-6, 2014 - Los Angeles, CA Metro Area - Plain Talk Basics
Early Bird Registration Extended to October 21!
- November 5-6, 2014 - San Antonio, TX Metro Area - Plain Talk Smart Grid
Early Bird Registration Extended to October 22!
- December 11, 2014 – NYC Metro Area – One-Day Power Systems Basics
The Plain Talk About the Electric Power Industry courses provide foundational knowledge that participants have used in their careers and beyond. And like any ongoing PES education program, support from members is beneficial for its future success—especially now that the series is expanding to include Smart Grid topics and more.
