The webinar aims at bringing together leaders from industry, academia, and government and meet regularly to define the architectural, computational, and practical challenges and opportunities brought by the emerging big data in smart grid. The webinar is scheduled to be held approximately every month or two, with speakers from industries and academic institutions. The initial discussion will focus on the standards, management, and analytics of big multi-domain multi-resolution data (PMUs, SCADA, Weather, GIS, etc.) for power grid operations. Our first two speakers will review existing big data applications and discuss exciting new ideas and technologies that are changing the electricity industry.
