PES Mentoring Program
The IEEE Power & Energy Society is excited about launching a mentoring program in collaboration with Chronus.
The program will pair a mentee with a suitable mentor based on what they would want to learn from their mentor.
Mentor and mentee are expected to commit to the program for 6 months for a enhanced experience.
Program is expected to run from August,22- January,23.
John McDonald, past PES President, has worked with many IEEE young professionals and students over the years through his mentoring. In this short video, he shares his perspective on mentoring :
- Why should someone consider being a mentor?
- Why do young engineers and students need mentors along with his mentoring experience?
- How to prepare for mentor-mentee relationship
