Please join us at the Student Industry Faculty Luncheon at the PES General Meeting in National Harbor, Maryland. We are pleased to announce that the keynote address will be given by Donald Niss who serves as the deputy coordinator for President Barack Obama’s Power Africa and Trade Africa Initiative. Based at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Washington, D.C., Mr. Niss oversees efforts based out of Washington for this initiative designed to increase electricity access for over six hundred million Sub Saharan Africans. As Power Africa and Trade Africa’s deputy coordinator, Mr. Niss has played a leading role in marshalling the technological and financial expertise and resources from all of the U.S. Government as well as American private sector partners to meet the objectives associated with this initiative.
