2022 IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Committee Chair - David Zabetakis

 

We are pleased to announce that David Zabetakis, director (BOD) of Qualus Power Services, owner of Z.evolution LLC has been appointed by the 2022 IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Committee Chair. David has been a supporter of the IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative since the program was launched in 2011.  We are delighted that David will share his vast experience to further our positive impact in engaging undergraduate EE students and connect them to career experiences within the power and energy industry.

Since 2011, the IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative has been encouraging students to pursue a career in the power and energy fields by providing multi-year scholarships and career experience opportunities to qualifying U.S., Canadian and Puerto Rico electrical engineering undergraduate students.   Over $4.5M has been awarded to 1,099 individuals (1,881 scholarships) to undergraduate students attending 206 universities across the USA, Canada & Puerto Rico.    Past recipients have reported having a full time job at more than 350 companies across the power industry such as  Black & Veatch, Boeing, Burns & McDonnell, Chevron, Commonwealth Edison, Consumers Energy, Duke Energy, Eaton Corporation, Eversource Energy, HDR INC, Lockheed Martin Corporation, National Grid, Northrup Grumman, Power Engineers, Raytheon, Sargent & Lundy, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories & Tennessee Valley Authority.     Learn more about the IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative - www.ee-scholarship.org.
