As a direct result of member requests for electronic access to IEEE PES information, the society has developed the IEEE Power Engineering Society Digital Library (PES DL). The PES DL, available to PES members only, provides subscribing members with:

Electronic access to all available PES conference and meeting Proceedings published since 1988, and electronic access to the full text of every article back to 1988 that was published in:

• IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion
• IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery
• IEEE Transactions on Power Systems

The IEEE Power Engineering Digital Library is available through IEEE Xplore (http://www.ieee.org/ieeexplore), the online delivery platform for all IEEE technical information. IEEE Xplore provides full-text electronic access, including all original charts, graphics, diagrams, photographs, and illustrative material. The annual subscription is only $60 for 2009.

Hard Copy Subscription
Subscribers to the hard-copy edition of any or all of the three PES Transactions receive only the printed edition for the duration of the subscription year.

Combination Subscription
A combination subscription provides you with both the printed edition and electronic access to the Transactions to which you subscribe for the duration of the subscription year. Electronic access to past years' volumes is not included.

PES Conference Proceedings
Contact IEEE Customer Service or link to the IEEE Store.

You can add your choice of subscriptions when you renew your membership to the society, or if you've already renewed, through IEEE on-line Add Services. Once you have renewed your membership and added your subscription, you will have immediate access to the DL.

It can be tricky to locate the PES DL when you are adding your subscription. Once logged on to the Renewal site (URL below) or Add Services site (URL below), you will be asked to verify/update your contact information. The next screen ask you to customize your IEEE Membership, and it is here you will add your new subscription.

Item 1 on this screen lists your current IEEE memberships and subscriptions. If you already subscribe to the print version of one or more PES Transactions, it will be listed here. If you intend to keep this subscription as-is, you do not need to change anything in this section. If you will be deleting your print subscription in favor of the PES DL, unselect the subscription you currently have to the PES Transactions.

Item 2 pertains to the full IEEE Member Digital Library. It is NOT the same as the PES Digital Library. Do not select this item thinking it is the PES DL!

Item 3 provides a drop-down menu for each IEEE Society from which you may choose publication subscriptions. Open the drop-down menu for "Publication offered by the IEEE Power Engineering Society".

• The second item listed is the Power Engineering Society Digital Library (product code 750e).
• The three printed PES Transactions with bonus electronic access are included individually in the alphabetical list.
• Click "Subscribe" after selecting the publications to which you want to subscribe.
• Continue with the renewal or customization process following the directions on each screen.
