PES Programs
  • Plain Talk Courses for Power Industry Professionals
    PES Plain Talkcourses for the power industry professional will help you to understand technical aspects of the electric power industry, even if you do not have an engineering background. You will gain insights into the concerns of engineers, the demands of regulators and consumer groups, and the factors and trends that impact the operation of today's electric power systems. These courses are also appropriate for new engineers to the industry, or for engineers in other fields who are transitioning to the electric power industry. These courses aim to increase your understanding of the electric power system by providing you with practical knowledge that you can use as you work in or with this important industry.
  • Plain Talk Courses for Power Industry Technologists (PES Technical Courses)
    IEEE PES is pleased to introduce a new series of courses geared toward technical professionals in the electric power industry. These courses range from less technical to more technical in nature, thereby suiting a range of interests and needs for engineers and technical professionals who work in or with the electric power industry.
  • PES Distinguished Lecturer Program
    This program provides lectures worldwide to present topics of current interest for chapter meetings. The lecturers are well-known engineers who have been working in the selected areas for long time. This program brings experts otherwise not available to the chapters, and enhances technical activities.
  • PES-Careers
    An online career service for power engineering students and employers.
  • PES Webinars
    The PES Webinar Series aims to engage engineers on a variety of subjects, including technical issues, hot topics, and professional development. Webinars are presented live and archived for future viewing. New webinars are added to the series on a regular basis. IEEE PES members are invited to submit proposals for future webinars.
