The vice president for New Initiatives and Outreach (NIO) is responsible for exploring new opportunities in the areas of meetings, publications, short courses/tutorials, etc. for society members and the global technical community in general. The NIO group is tasked with incubating new products and services which are then turned over to the relevant vice presidencies upon maturity.
