New IEEE Webinar Series Highlights Engineering Opportunities and Innovations That Address Humanitarian Concerns

Mobile Web technologies for the developing world and internet access in rural Africa are two of the topics that will be covered in a series of free Webinars that highlight humanitarian efforts. The series profiles different cases in which new technologies, business models, and social entrepreneurship initiatives are helping improve the livelihoods of the underprivileged.

The Webinars focus on four major infrastructural development needs (water, energy, transport and communication) and a variety of application areas (health, education, agriculture and innovation).

Webinars are free to the public and are presented by renowned individuals in the field.
